Rawalpindi — Terrorists have attacked A Pakistan Army’s check-post in Bajaur Agency and martyred two soldiers, on Monday. A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) informed that terrorists attacked from cross-border Afghanistan near Bajaur.
“The attempt was effectively responded killing 8-10 fleeing terrorists while many seen running back injured,” ISPR said. The martyred soldiers were identified as Capt Junaid Hafeez and Sepoy Raham.
Earlier on September 22, terrorists had attacked a check-post in Rajgal and martyred another Pakistan Army’s officer, Lieutenant Arsalan Alam in firing from across the border in Afghanistan.
The ISPR in August had announced the conclusion of Khyber-4 Operation in Rajgal valley of Khyber Agency which included clearing the areas on the Pakistani side of the border.
Pakistan began fencing the Pak-Afghan border earlier this year to prevent terrorists from crossing into the country from Afghanistan.
The two countries accuse the other of harbouring their militant enemies — both deny the other’s charges.
